Dr. Helmut Kienast.

Helmut Kienast has a PhD in Cultural and Humanities Studies and is an expert in innovations in experience delivery, as well as in culture, leisure and event management.

In his lectures and seminars, Kienast explains in an impressive way how to optimize concepts, adapt ideas, and explores the impact of current topics such as artificial intelligence or digitalization on experience consumption and leisure management.

biography.

Dr. Helmut Kienast is an Assistant Professor and a Program Director of the Bachelor’s degree in Event Engineering at New Design University in St. Pölten, as well as a lecturer in Event Management and Event Technology at bbw Hochschule Berlin. He studied Journalism and Communication Science at the University of Vienna, as well as Electric Bass & Double Bass and Instrumental Pedagogy at the Music and Arts University of Vienna (formerly Vienna Conservatory).

During his studies, he successfully founded the company Soundedition and worked for over twenty years in event design, event consulting, and media content production for national and international companies. He earned his PhD in philosophy at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz.

In addition to these roles, Helmut Kienast has published numerous works, gives lectures, and is a non-fiction author. His teaching, development of transdisciplinary projects, and research have taken him to China (Shanghai Fudan University and Hong Kong SCAD The University for Creative Careers), Singapore (Raffles College of Higher Education), Denmark (Aarhus School of Business), Lithuania (Vilnius Gediminas University), and Scotland (Glasgow Caledonian University).

Helmut Kienast has been teaching at New Design University in St.Pölten for over fifteen years and at bbw Hochschule Berlin for more than five years.

During this time, he has supervised and evaluated over one hundred bachelor’s and master’s theses, delivered lectures, and taught as a freelance lecturer at numerous universities and universities of applied sciences.
